About BudgetCalcTool.org
Independent personal finance tools built by real people who've been there.
Our Story
BudgetCalcTool.org was born from a simple frustration: most budget calculators online are either too simplistic to be useful or buried under layers of ads and upsells. We wanted something different. Something honest. Something that actually helps.
Started in 2024 by Marcus Thompson, a former financial counselor who spent a decade helping families dig out of debt and build real budgets that stick. The tools here are the same ones he used in counseling sessions, refined and made accessible for everyone.

About Marcus Thompson
Marcus lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife Rachel, their two kids Olivia and Ethan, and their labrador Cooper. When not crunching numbers, you'll find him trail running in the Rockies, brewing questionable craft beer in his garage, or hunting for vinyl records at local thrift shops.
"I'm not a financial advisor. I'm just a guy who's seen what works and what doesn't, and wants to share what I've learned."
